Financial Freedom Retirement Planning Secrets Revealed

When I started researching the financial freedom retirement planning topic, I couldn't believe my eyes. It seems as though the term conveniently took the shape of whatever product or service someone was trying to push.

How about we start with a definition we can all live with? Ready? In my opinion, financial freedom retirement planning simply translates into putting in place a plan that will allow you to do everything you want to in retirement without having to worry about running out of money. I think that is a simple enough concept that we can all buy into.

So how do you do that? Let's cut to the chase. Everyone is speaking of budget, consolidating credit card debts, paying off your mortgage etc. But who are they talking to?

Well, statistics already show, on average, Americans have less than a zero rate of savings. So where is the average person going to find the money to pay extra principle on the mortgage in order to pay it off eventually?

It is not going to happen. Now that we got this noise out of the way, let's reveal the real secret. Ready? It boils down to leveraging your assets: your home, which is perhaps your biggest capital asset; followed by your biggest intellectual asset, your mind.

By separating the equity that is sitting idly in your home (earning a zero rate of return), and managing it in a tax-favorable environment, you will increase your net worth faster and enjoy a debt-free retirement.

Secondly, by leveraging your intellectual assets and keeping your brain active during retirement, you could be making money online with one of several businesses.

Some of the businesses that come readily to mind are those that leverage the biggest marketing media of the century: the internet. Many require very little to no expertise. Sometimes all you need is a passion about a particular subject.

By leveraging your intellectual assets (either what you learned from past employment, a hobby, a passion etc.,) you can earn a substantial income marketing your services or products online.

Financial freedom retirement planning is a reality once you rise above the noise out there. It bears repeating. It is not achieved via debt consolidation because you'll never get there. It is not achieved with a reverse mortgage (which can be a great retirement tool) no matter what a mortgage broker tries to lead you to believe.
