Anti-Aging Tips

Anti-Aging Tips For Maximum Lifespan

The quest for anti-aging tips and secrets certainly did not start with today's baby boomers. History, both ancient and modern is full of stories and legends of people searching for the secret to long life.

But if the baby boomers did not start the movement, they sure have made the study of aging a serious science. And, though researchers haven't uncovered the secret to long life, we bring you these anti-aging tips from what they've gathered about life and the aging process.

In his book The 120-Year Diet, Dr. Roy Walford recommends a low-calorie, low-fat and high nutrition diet coupled with a solid exercise program for anyone serious about increasing their lifespan.

The book draws examples from the people of Okinawa Japan whose diet is 40% lower in calories compared to the diet of the average Japanese to show that the Okinawans have 5 to 40 times the number of centenarians as other Japanese islands.

Professor Sula Benet also brought us centenarian wisdom from the people of Europe in her book How To Live To Be 100. Professor Benet who lived in the Caucasus Mountains of the former Soviet Union found that an unusually high number of these Caucasians live healthy and active lives well past 100. Heck, some went longer than 140.

The three biggest factors responsible for such longevity, she found, were 1) moderation in eating, 2) an extremely high intake of natural vitamins in fresh vegetables; and, 3) physical exercise.

But you don't have to move to Okinawa or trade your present home for the Caucasus Mountains to find longevity. The anti-aging tips drawn from these centenarians' experience tell you what you need to do starting today.

Competent doctors, nutritionists and health experts recomned:

  • A life of moderation - this means no overeating. But more importantly, you need to consume quality , nutritious and healthful foods.

  • Regular exercise of both the body and mind. Physical exercise such as fitness walking, and weight lifting in moderation will go a long way. There's no doubt that exercise is one of the best anti-aging tips you can apply in your daily routine. So get out your fitness walking shoes and get moving.

But like I said, don't limit yourself to physical exercise. You must also keep your mind flexible by making regular use of brain builders.

  • Let me tell you why. A Readers Digest article from the writings of Doctors E.W. Busse and E. Pfeiffer indicated peak creative productivity remains high in the later years of life especially in fields such as mathematics, botany and the humanities.

Statesmanship abilities tends to increase with age. In addition, studies reveal that in areas of abstract thought such as logic and philosophy, the potential peak years occur between ages 45 and 83.

So you're far from being washed out if you're of retirement age. You're in a period of life filled with potential provided anti-aging health is important to you.

Hey, the point is don't just focus on the outside by taking care of your skin with quality products. I agree good looks are an important part of the overall equation. But even the best anti-aging moisturizer on the market or quality injections of anti-aging hgh won't help slow down the signs of aging if you don't take advantage of these tips daily.
